Koneline: Our Land Beautiful is a Canadian documentary film from 2016. It was directed by Nettie Wild. This movie takes you on a journey to northern British Columbia. It shows the lives of the Tahltan First Nation people. You also get to see the lives of miners, hunters, and tourists in a place called Telegraph Creek. The film shares many different viewpoints. "Koneline" is a word from the Tahltan language. It means "our land beautiful."
Making the Film
It took a long time to make this film! The director, Nettie Wild, spent four years filming. Then, it took another year to edit everything. Nettie Wild wanted to show the true stories of the Tahltan people. To do this, she first had to earn their trust. She promised them that they would be able to see the finished movie. This helped her get permission to film. The goal of KONELĪNE was to be like "cinematic poetry." This means the film tried to show things as they are, without taking sides. It did not try to push any political message.
