Local Economy and Jobs
Kreamer has been home to a major employer called Wood-Mode. This company made cabinets. In May 2019, Wood-Mode closed its operations. This was a big event for the county, as about 900 people lost their jobs.
However, the company was bought by Bill French in August 2019. He started a new company called Wood-Mode LLC. By September 2022, the company had grown and employed 550 people again. This helped bring many jobs back to the area.
