Kristofer Hivju (born 7 December 1978) is a famous Norwegian actor. He is well-known for playing the character Tormund Giantsbane in the TV show Game of Thrones. He also played Connor Rhodes in the action movie The Fate of the Furious.

Kristofer Hivju's Early Life
Kristofer Hivju was born in Oslo, which is the capital city of Norway. He studied acting at a special school in Denmark. He finished his studies there in 2004.
Kristofer Hivju's Acting Career
Kristofer Hivju started his acting career in TV shows like Fox Grønland. He also appeared in the 2008 film Manhunt. He performed in plays at different theaters too. He even wrote scripts for short films.
He has played the role of the Viking King Olav II in a Norwegian documentary film called Olav.
From 2013 to 2019, Hivju became very famous for his role as Tormund Giantsbane in the American fantasy series Game of Thrones. His character first appeared in the third season of the show. In 2013, he also acted in the science fiction movie After Earth.
Kristofer Hivju is the only actor who appeared in both the 2014 movie Force Majeure and its remake in 2020, Downhill.
More recently, in 2023, he started appearing in commercials for Scotts lawn products. In these ads, he plays a character called Scott the Scottsman.

Kristofer Hivju's Personal Life
Kristofer Hivju comes from a family of actors. His parents, Erik Hivju and Lieselotte Holmene, are both actors. He is also related to the French actress Isabelle Nanty, who is his cousin.
He is married to Gry Molvær Hivju. They got married in 2015 and have two daughters. Their daughters are named Noor, born in 2007, and Sylja, born in 2008.
Besides acting, Kristofer Hivju really enjoys playing disc golf. He is an active player and helps organize events in the disc golf community. In 2022, a company even released a special disc golf disc with his signature on it!
