Music Career
Krisztián Éder started his music journey with a band called Helyszínelők. He formed the group with several friends. They released one song and played a few live shows. However, the band stopped making music in 2005.
After the band broke up, Éder began his solo career. In 2006, he released a short album called an EP. It was titled Srác a szomszéd házból (meaning Boy Next Door). This EP had six songs. He also put out a music video for his song "Kérlek hogy" ("Please") online. This song became very popular and helped him get noticed.
First Albums and Breakthrough Songs
After his EP, Krisztián released his first full album, Kölyök (meaning Kid). This album had 13 songs. The songs were named after the people who helped create them. He also released a second music video from this album for the song "Holnaptól" ("From Tomorrow").
At the end of 2007, Éder was voted the best new hip-hop artist of the year. This was a big honor for the young rapper. He later placed third in a music event called the Right Hip-Hop Jam. This event was organized by the group Animal Cannibals. Because of this, he joined an "underground" recording company called Mideastouch Crew. He joined other artists like Pixa, the Hősök, and Fluor Filigran. Pixa helped produce Krisztián's second album, Standard, which was finished in June 2008.
His first song and music video from this album was "Állj meg" ("Stop"). This was the first time Éder's music was shown on Hungarian music TV channels. The song was very successful and reached second place on the VIVA TV hit list. Many newspapers and online magazines gave the album great reviews.
Signing with New Labels
After "Állj meg" became a hit, many big record companies wanted to sign Krisztián. But he chose to sign with a new, independent company called Bedlam Records. This company was led by Gergely Papp. It also represented artists like Pixa, Deeja, and Papa Jo.
His second song, "Kérlek hogy" ("Please"), was re-released. A new and improved version debuted on October 2, 2008, on VIVA TV. It was called "Kérlek hogy II" ("Please II").
On June 4, 2009, Éder made history at the VIVA Comet awards. He won both awards he was nominated for: Best New Performer and Best Male Performer. No other artist or group had won both of these awards before. After this, Éder signed with Gold Records.
Third Album and Style Change
On August 29, 2009, the first song and music video from Éder's third album came out. It was called "Kép Maradsz" ("You Remain a Picture"). This song quickly went to the top of the VIVA chart.
Éder's third album was released on his 21st birthday, November 30, 2009. It was titled Special. This album also made it onto the MAHASZ album selling list. Unlike his first albums, which were mostly rap, Special had more of a dance and pop style. Another change was that this album had only one duet. His past albums had many songs with other artists. The only duet on Special was with R&B singer Hien. She was known for being on the TV show Megasztár.
