About Kylie Whitehead
Kylie has a mix of English and Walpiri heritage. The Walpiri are an Indigenous Australian people. She grew up in a town called Chiltern in Victoria, Australia. Her father's parents raised her there.
Education and Career
Kylie is also a physiotherapist. This means she helps people recover from injuries or illnesses. She studied physiotherapy at Charles Sturt University.
Kylie's Bowls Journey
Kylie started playing bowls in 2010. She joined the Wodonga Bowls Club with her grandfather. This is where her journey in the sport began.
Major Wins and Achievements
Kylie has achieved a lot in her bowls career. In 2019, she won the World Singles Champion of Champions title. This is a very important competition in lawn bowls. She beat Debbie White in the final match.
She also won the singles event at the 2017 Australian National Bowls Championships. This shows she was one of the best players in Australia. Kylie has played over 100 state matches for Victoria. This means she has represented her home state many times.
