LIFE Church UK is a large Christian church based in Bradford, England. It used to be called the Abundant Life Church.

This church also has locations in Warsaw, Poland, and online. They call themselves "one church, three locations" (Bradford, Warsaw, and Online). You can watch their Sunday services live online. In 2003, over 2,000 people attended. By 2006, this number grew to 2,800.

The Story of LIFE Church

LIFE Church started in 1976. It was founded by Bryn Jones. He brought together three smaller Christian groups in Bradford. These groups included a charismatic Plymouth Brethren assembly and a church formed by former Baptists.

In its early days, the church met in a building called the Anglican Church House. So, people in the area called it "Church House." Later, it became known as Abundant Life Church. In 2012, the name was shortened to LIFE Church. This change happened when new leaders took over.

Since 2000, LIFE Church has become more well-known. They have regular radio and TV shows. These shows are broadcast on channels like God TV and United Christian Broadcasters. They also have a weekly show on Cross Rhythms radio. Many of their TV and radio shows are available as podcasts and on YouTube.

The church also holds big events and conferences each year. Christians from the UK and other countries attend these events. Their Women's Conference, called 'Cherish', has grown very popular. It is now held at the Leeds First Direct Arena.

The main location for LIFE Church is in Bradford, West Yorkshire. They also have a church campus in Warsaw, Poland.

The Bradford campus has a coffee shop. It serves coffee from local roasters called North Star Coffee. There is also a skatepark connected to the youth building.

LIFE Church has a college. It is called Life Church College. The college is located in Bradford, England.

Church Leaders

Paul Scanlon was the main pastor of the church until 2012. He had been part of the church team since 1980 with his wife, Glenda. In 2012, Paul and Glenda's daughter, Charlotte Gambill, and her husband, Steve Gambill, became the lead pastors.

In 2021, Charlotte Gambill decided to step down from her paid role at the church. However, she still remained a Lead Pastor alongside her husband, Steve.

In 2022, some changes happened. The Leeds campus left LIFE Church and became "North^Church." The Belfast campus also closed. Liam and Natalie Gordon, who were the Belfast campus pastors, stepped down.

As of June 2022, Jonathan 'Jock' and Shirley James are the lead pastors of LIFE Church. Maciek and Iga Liziniewicz are the pastors for the Warsaw campus.

Church Music

LIFE Church has created many music albums and singles. Most of these were recorded live during their services. They also share music from church services and conferences online.

Their early music was released by Kingsway Communications. Later albums were released by Integrity Music. Their live album, Dance Again, came out in May 2014. It even reached the top 40 on the UK Albums Chart.
