Lætitia Masson, born on August 18, 1966, is a talented French film director and screenwriter. She has made many films since 1991. One of her movies, For Sale, was even shown at the famous Cannes Film Festival in 1998.

Early Life and Film School
Lætitia Masson grew up in Nancy, France. Her parents were teachers who really loved movies. When she was just seven years old, Lætitia saw her first film by a famous director named Jean-Luc Godard.
Her father was an amateur filmmaker who enjoyed a style called New Wave cinema. This early love for movies likely inspired Lætitia to study literature and cinema in Paris. Later, she attended a well-known film school called La Fémis. She graduated from the "Image Department" in 1991.
Lætitia Masson's Career
Lætitia Masson has had a very busy career in film. She has directed and written many short films and full-length movies. She also shares her knowledge by teaching at La Fémis film school in Paris. There, she leads a workshop for third-year students. In 2014, she was even the head of the jury for new student admissions.

En avoir (ou pas) (1996)
This was Lætitia Masson's first full-length movie, and it was a big success! She wrote and directed En avoir (ou pas) in 1996. The film tells the story of Alice, a young woman who loses her job, and Bruno, a lonely construction worker.
For Sale (1998)
Masson's second feature film, For Sale, came out in 1998. It's about a woman named France Robert who disappears on her wedding day. A detective tries to find her by learning about her life through interviews.
Love Me (2000)
In Love Me, a young woman uses dreams to escape her current life and past problems. She chases after a singer, hoping to find love. The movie stars Sandrine Kiberlain.
The Repentant (2002)
In The Repentant (La Repentie), a woman tries to start a new life in a new city. But a mysterious man follows her. Masson used themes of mystery and sudden decisions to show what it feels like to begin again.
Pourquoi (pas) le Brésil (2004)
This film is based on a book called Pourquoi le Brésil by Christine Angot.
Coupable (2007)
Coupable is a story about growing desires, temptations, and strong feelings. In the film, a maid and a widow are both investigated after the death of Mr. Kaplan.
G.H.B. (Être ou pas être) (2013)
