Larry Welsh, known by his stage name Lakim Shabazz, is an American rapper. He was one of the first members of a hip-hop group called Flavor Unit. His stage name, Lakim Shabazz, comes from a special teaching about a group called the Lost Tribe of Shabazz.

Lakim Shabazz's Music Journey
Lakim Shabazz began his music career with Tuff City Records. He first became known when he sang on a song called "The 900 Number" by The 45 King. They worked together more on an EP, which is like a mini-album, titled The Red, The Black, the Green.
In 1988, Lakim released his first full album, Pure Righteousness. The album cover said "The 45 King presents" on it. Many people liked this album. It became famous for its style of hip hop from the late 1980s and early 1990s. Lakim's songs often shared his strong beliefs.
In 2015, Lakim Shabazz was featured on a song called "Lost Souls" by Shady Corps.
