Lamont Bryan was born on April 12, 1988. He is a talented rugby league player who has represented Jamaica internationally. He currently plays for the London Skolars team in League 1. Lamont Bryan usually plays as a centre, but he can also play as a fullback, on the wing, or as a second-row forward.
Early Life and Rugby Beginnings
Lamont Bryan was born in München, Germany. His father is African-American and his mother is Jamaican. He grew up in Croydon, England.
Bryan started playing rugby league when he was young. He played for a junior team called the South London Storm. Besides rugby league, he also plays rugby union for a club called Streatham-Croydon RFC.
Playing for Featherstone Rovers
In January 2013, Lamont Bryan joined the Featherstone Rovers team. He played for them for one season. During that time, he played in 24 games and scored 6 tries. A "try" in rugby league is like a touchdown in American football, where a player grounds the ball in the opponent's end zone.
Returning to London Skolars
Lamont Bryan signed a contract to play for the London Skolars again in 2014. He had played for them before, from 2010 to 2012, while on loan from the London Broncos.
In 2015, Bryan played for the Jamaica national team in the qualifiers for the 2017 Rugby League World Cup. His team played well but just missed out on getting a spot in the main tournament.
He started his second time playing for the Skolars in 2017. He has continued to be an important player for the team.
