From 2008 to 2015, Larysa taught at the Kyiv National I. K. Karpenko-Kary Theatre, Cinema and Television University. She helped second-year students learn how to make documentary films. During the Euromaidan events, she encouraged her students to film what was happening. She said: "We decided to give them a task – to shoot about the Maidan. They had such a chance – that of filming history." The films her students made became a series called Black Diary of the Maidan.

Another film she made is “Bohdan’s Happiness.” It tells the story of the war in Eastern Ukraine through the eyes of a six-year-old boy.

Larysa joined the Euromaidan protests from the very beginning. She wanted to protect her friend, Yehor Soboliev, who was a journalist and activist.
