Las Lomitas is a city in northern Argentina. It is located in the Patiño Department, right in the center of Formosa Province. The city was officially established on October 20, 1915.

In 2010, about 12,399 people lived in Las Lomitas. This was a big jump from 2001, when only 10,354 people lived there. This means the city grew by 20% in less than 10 years!

Las Lomitas has its own airport, called Alférez Armando Rodríguez Airport. This helps people travel to and from the city.

Las Lomitas has a humid subtropical climate. This type of weather is common in the Chaco region. It means the city gets a lot of rain, especially in summer, and has warm temperatures most of the year.
