Becoming an Artist
At 17, Laura started studying at the School of Fine Arts at the University of Chile. She said a diplomat named Pedro Felipe Iñíguez helped her get in because he saw her talent. As a student, Laura was very independent. She often disagreed with her teachers' strict rules.
