Lauren Castillo facts for kids
Lauren Castillo is a talented author and illustrator who creates wonderful books for kids. She is known for her beautiful watercolor illustrations. In 2015, she received a special award called the Caldecott Honor for her artwork in her book Nana in the City.
Lauren Castillo studied at the School of Visual Arts, graduating in 2005. Her first book, Melvin and the Boy, was published in 2011. She both wrote and drew the pictures for this book. Her art has even been shown in museums, like the Bruce Museum in 2012. More recently, in 2020, she started a new series with her book Our Friend Hedgehog: The Story of Us.
