Early Football Days
Laurie started his football journey with the Claremont team. In 1996, he was part of the Claremont Colts team. This team won a special championship that year. Winning this championship showed everyone how talented Laurie was. By 1998, he was playing a full season for the senior Claremont team.
Playing for the West Coast Eagles
In 1999, Laurie Bellotti joined the West Coast Eagles. He started as a "rookie" player. A rookie is a new player who is still learning the ropes. Even as a rookie, Laurie played 15 games for the Eagles that year. His good performance led to him being promoted. After the 1999 season, he was moved from the rookie list to the main team.
Laurie continued to play for the West Coast Eagles in 2000. He played nine more games in the AFL. After his time with the Eagles, Laurie finished his football career. He played his final games with the West Perth team in 2001.
