Lee Weaver has had a long and successful career, playing a wide variety of characters. He is known for his work in both live-action roles and as a voice actor.
Voice Acting and Television Roles
Many people know Weaver as the voice of the character Alpine in the animated TV series G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero from 1985 to 1986. He also played Ricardo in the TV show Easy Street.
Over the years, Weaver has made guest appearances on many popular shows. He played a handyman on an episode of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air and a waiter on The Cosby Show. He was also the original mailman on the show 227.

Personal Life
Lee Weaver was a childhood friend of the famous jazz musician Cannonball Adderley. They were so close that Weaver was the best man at Adderley's wedding.
Adderley even dedicated a song to his friend. On his 1963 album Nippon Soul, Adderley introduces the song "The Weaver." He described it as being for "a dear friend... a beautiful cat. His name is Weaver, Lee Weaver."
