Leith is a special area, or "ward," in the city of Edinburgh, Scotland. It's one of seventeen wards that help choose people to work on the City of Edinburgh Council. This area is found north-east of Edinburgh's city centre, right by the coast on the Firth of Forth. It includes the main part of the old port and town of Leith. Leith used to be an independent town, but now it's part of Edinburgh. In 2019, about 24,207 people lived in the Leith ward.
