Lenoxburg is a small, quiet place in the state of Kentucky, USA. It's not a big city or town, but what we call an "unincorporated community". This means it doesn't have its own local government like a city does. Instead, it's part of two different counties: Bracken County and Pendleton County.

A Look Back in Time: Lenoxburg's History

Lenoxburg has a bit of history, even if it's a small place! Over a hundred years ago, in 1874, a post office was opened here. This was a really important place back then for sending and receiving letters and packages. The post office served the community for many years, but it eventually closed down in 1906.

People believe that Lenoxburg got its name from a person named Samuel B. Lenox. He was a merchant, which means he owned a store and sold goods to people in the area. It's cool to think that a place can be named after someone who was important to its early days!
