Leo Dynevor's Rugby League Journey
Early Career in England
Leo Dynevor started his professional rugby league journey in England. He played for the London Broncos team. This was his first experience playing at a high level.
Playing for Newcastle Knights
In 1997, Leo Dynevor joined the Newcastle Knights team in Australia. He played 19 games for them that year. Most of the time, he played as a halfback. He filled in for the team's star player, Andrew Johns, who was injured.
Leo was the top points-scorer for the Knights in 1997. He helped the team win a big game against the North Sydney in the preliminary final. However, he did not play in the Grand Final. The coach decided to use different players for that important match. The Knights went on to win the Grand Final that year.
Time with Western Suburbs
In 1998, Dynevor moved to play for the Western Suburbs Magpies. He stayed with this team for two seasons. Unfortunately, the Magpies did not have much success during this time. They finished last in both 1998 and 1999.
What Happened Next?
Leo Dynevor's last professional game was in 1999. It was a tough game where his team lost to Parramatta. At the end of 1999, the Western Suburbs Magpies joined with another team, the Balmain, to form a new team called the Wests Tigers. Leo was not offered a contract to play for this new combined team.
