Leonora Jiménez Monge (born in 1983 in Santa Ana, Costa Rica) is a famous Costa Rican model and activist. She first gained attention by winning the Miss Asia Pacific International pageant in 2005. She later took part in the Miss World 2005 competition.
Leonora has been very busy throughout her career.
- In 2007, she created and promoted a product called Vita Fitness. She also had a TV show named Vita Fitness: El Desafío (Vita Fitness: The Challenge). This show helped people learn about fitness and healthy living.
- She also appeared in a campaign for the product "Veet".
- In 2008, she was part of the second season of Supermodel Centroamérica, which is like the Latin American version of America's Next Top Model.
- Leonora has worked on photo shoots for well-known brands like Loeve and Chanel. She has also appeared in magazines such as Elle and Telva.
- In 2011, she was a presenter for the Miss Costa Rica beauty pageant.
- She has collaborated with many fashion designers and brands, both from Costa Rica and around the world.
In 2013, Leonora worked with her brother, Andrés Jiménez Monge, who is a wildlife biologist. They started a campaign called "Salvemos Nuestros Mares" (Let's Save Our Seas). This campaign was very successful and helped ban shrimp trawling in Costa Rica. Shrimp trawling is a fishing method that can harm the ocean floor and other sea creatures. Their efforts also encouraged the President of Costa Rica, Laura Chinchilla, to improve fishing rules in the country. Many groups joined forces to support this important cause.
