Lesley Choyce (born on March 21, 1951) is a Canadian writer. He is married to Linda Choyce. Lesley Choyce writes many different kinds of books, including novels, non-fiction, books for children, books for young adults (like you!), and poetry.
He has written over 100 books! That's a lot of stories and ideas. Besides writing, he also teaches at Dalhousie University. Lesley Choyce loves to surf all year round, even in the cold Canadian waters. He was also a founding member of a 1990s band called The SurfPoets, which mixed music with spoken words. He also runs a small company called Pottersfield Press, which helps publish books by other writers. For many years, he hosted a national TV show called Off The Page. His books have been translated into Spanish, French, German, and Danish, showing how popular his stories are around the world. He has won special awards for his writing, like the Dartmouth Book Award and the Ann Connor Brimer Award.
