James Lloyd, known by his stage name Lil' Cease, is an American rapper. He was born on August 20, 1977, in Brooklyn, New York City. He was also a member of the hip hop group Junior M.A.F.I.A..

Becoming a Rapper

Lil' Cease started his music career in 1995 as part of the group Junior M.A.F.I.A. Their first album was called Conspiracy. He became well-known for his part in the song "Player's Anthem". This song was one of the most popular from the album.

A famous rapper named The Notorious B.I.G. was Lil' Cease's mentor. The Notorious B.I.G. often mentioned Lil' Cease in his songs. This helped the young rapper stay in the public eye.

In 1997, Lil' Cease was featured on the soundtrack for the movie How to Be a Player. He also gained fame for being a featured artist on Lil' Kim's song "Crush on You". This song was a number one hit on the Hot Rap Songs chart.

Lil' Cease released his own album, The Wonderful World of Cease A Leo, in 1999. This album reached number 26 on the Billboard 200 chart. It also featured other famous artists like Jay Z and Lil' Kim.
