Dominique Armani Jones (born December 3, 1994), known professionally as Lil Baby, is a famous American rapper, singer, and songwriter. He became well-known in 2017 after releasing his mixtapes Harder than Hard and Too Hard. One of his first big hits was the song "My Dawg," which appeared on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
Lil Baby signed with Quality Control Music, a record label. He released his first studio album, Harder Than Ever, in 2018. This album reached number three on the Billboard 200 chart and included the popular song "Yes Indeed" with the artist Drake. Later that year, he released a mixtape called Drip Harder with fellow rapper Gunna. This mixtape featured the hit song "Drip Too Hard."
His second studio album, My Turn (2020), was a huge success. It was number one on the Billboard 200 for five weeks and became the best-selling album of that year. This album included popular songs like "We Paid" and "The Bigger Picture," which was inspired by the George Floyd protests. "The Bigger Picture" was even nominated for two Grammy Awards. In 2021, his album The Voice of the Heroes with Lil Durk also reached number one. Lil Baby won a Grammy Award for "Hurricane" in 2022, a song he worked on with Kanye West and The Weeknd. His third album, It's Only Me (2022), also topped the Billboard 200.
Besides his Grammy, Lil Baby has won an MTV Video Music Award and two BET Awards. He was also named the all-genre Artist of the Year at the 2020 Apple Music Awards. He started his own record label, Glass Window Entertainment, in 2023.

Becoming a Rapper
When Lil Baby was seventeen, he spent a lot of time at Quality Control Records in Atlanta. The label's founder, Kevin "Coach K" Lee, encouraged him to become a rapper.
