Liliane Lebon (born May 1, 1917 – died May 24, 2020), known as Lily Lian, was a famous French singer. She was one of the last street singers in Paris. Later in her career, she also sang for record labels. There, she met other famous singers like Édith Piaf, Tino Rossi, Maurice Chevalier, and Yves Montand. Lily Lian also helped start the career of Pascal Sevran, a well-known TV host, who often invited her on his show.

Life and Singing Career

Before radio and jukeboxes became popular, street singing was a very common job in France. Lily Lian started her singing career in the streets during the 1930s. She became one of the most famous street singers and attracted large crowds.

However, during World War II and as radio became more popular, street singing became less common. Lily Lian tried to become a record label singer, but it was hard for her to become a big star.

In 1965, she helped a young singer named Pascal Régent. He later became a famous composer and TV show host, known as Pascal Sevran. Lily Lian appeared many times on his TV show, La Chance aux chansons. On the show, she was often called "the last street singer."

Lily Lian passed away on May 24, 2020, in Ivry-sur-Seine, France. She was 103 years old.
