Lilya Budaghyan's journey in science started early. She studied mathematics at Yerevan State University in Armenia. In 1998, she earned her diploma with honors. This means she was one of the best students!
Advanced Studies in Germany
After her studies in Armenia, Lilya moved to Germany. She continued her advanced research at Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg. In 2005, she earned her PhD degree there. Her PhD paper was about special math functions used in cryptography. It was called The equivalence of almost bent and almost perfect nonlinear functions and their generalizations.
Teaching and Research in Europe
After getting her PhD, Lilya worked in different countries. She did research at the University of Trento in Italy. She also worked at the University of Paris 8 Vincennes-Saint-Denis in France. Emil Artin Junior Prize
