Limerick Museum and Archives facts for kids
The Limerick Museum and Archives (LM&A) was a special team-up. It brought together two important places: the Limerick City Museum and the Limerick Archives. This partnership lasted from 2013 to 2017. Both places get their money from the Limerick City and County Council.
During their time together, the museum and archives worked with many other groups. They created cool projects, shows, and books. All these efforts helped share the history of Limerick city and the surrounding county.
In May 2017, the Limerick Museum moved to a new building. It went to the old Franciscan Friary on Henry Street. When this move happened, the partnership ended. The museum and archives then went back to working on their own.
