Rachel Lindsay Rene Bush and Sidney Robyn Danae Bush are American twin sisters who used to be child actresses. They were born on May 25, 1970, in Hollywood, California. They are most famous for playing the character Carrie Ingalls together in the TV show Little House on the Prairie.
Their parents are actor Billy Green Bush and Carole Kay Bush. Their older brother, Clay, is also an actor.
Acting Careers
Rachel and Sidney started acting very young. In 1973, they played a character named Jill Hayden in a TV movie called Sunshine.
Their most well-known role was Carrie Ingalls in Little House on the Prairie. They shared this role from 1974 to 1982. Even though two twins played Carrie, they were often credited as one person, Lindsay Sidney Greenbush.
In one special episode called "The Godsister," which aired in 1978, both twins appeared on screen at the same time. This happened when Carrie imagined a friend because her family was too busy. The twins did not appear in the last season of the show. This was because Carrie's family moved away from Walnut Grove, where the show was set.
After Little House on the Prairie, the twins continued acting for a short time. In 1983, Lindsay appeared in an episode of Matt Houston. Sidney starred in a movie called Hambone and Hillie in 1983.
They also appeared in many commercials for popular products like Doublemint gum, Mattel Toys, and Kentucky Fried Chicken. After these roles, the twins decided to stop acting. They wanted to focus on their studies and went to public school. They both graduated from Santa Monica High in 1988.
Personal Lives
Sidney Bush was married to William "Rocky" Foster for nine years. He passed away in 2009.
Lindsay Bush married Daniel Sanchez in 2014. They first met a long time ago on the set of Little House on the Prairie. This was at Big Sky Ranch in Simi Valley, where outdoor scenes were filmed. Lindsay was a small child, and Daniel was a teenager who lived nearby. She shared that Michael Landon, who was a star on the show, allowed Daniel to watch the filming. Decades later, they met again and fell in love. They got married in the exact same spot where they first met.
