Chip 'n Dale: Rescue Rangers is a fun American cartoon show from Walt Disney Television Animation. It was created by Tad Stones and Alan Zaslove. The show features the famous Disney chipmunks, Chip 'n Dale, in a brand new adventure. They lead a team of animal detectives who solve mysteries.

The show first aired on The Disney Channel on March 4, 1989. An early peek at the show, an episode called "Catteries Not Included," was shown on August 27, 1988.

Later, a special two-hour movie, Rescue Rangers: To The Rescue, came out on September 29, 1989. This movie showed how the Rescue Rangers team first met. Even though it aired later, it told their origin story.

The series then started showing new episodes every weekday. The movie was split into five regular episodes for Season 2. In 1990, the show became part of a popular cartoon block called The Disney Afternoon. The very last episode aired on November 19, 1990. Reruns of the show continued until September 3, 1993.

The characters also appeared in educational videos. In 1990, they starred in The Great Quake Hazard Hunt. Chip, Dale, and their friends taught kids how to get ready for earthquakes. In 1991, they were in Rescue Rangers: Fire Safety Adventure. In this video, they stopped the bad guy Fat Cat from causing fire dangers.
