The Cleveland-Lloyd Dinosaur Quarry is a super cool place where you can find tons of dinosaur fossils! It was named a National Natural Landmark in 1965. This quarry is near Cleveland, Utah, in Emery County. Scientists think it might have been a "predator trap" long ago. This means many meat-eating dinosaurs got stuck there. Today, it holds over 15,000 dinosaur fossils from the Jurassic period. Imagine finding bones from giant dinosaurs like the Allosaurus! The Bureau of Land Management takes care of this amazing site.

Joshua Tree Natural Area

The Joshua Tree Natural Area became a National Natural Landmark in 1966. You can find it in Washington County, Utah. This spot is very special because it's the only place in Utah where Joshua trees grow naturally. It's also the most northern place in the entire country where you can see these unique "tree yuccas." Joshua trees are famous for their spiky leaves and twisty branches. They look like something out of a Dr. Seuss book! This area is part of the Beaver Dam Wash National Conservation Area.

Little Rockies

The Little Rockies were recognized as a National Natural Landmark in 1975. These interesting rock formations are located in Garfield County, Utah. They are part of the Glen Canyon National Recreation Area. The Little Rockies show off some unique types of rock formations. These include "intrusive plugs" and "laccoliths." These are places where melted rock pushed up into older rocks but didn't break through to the surface. Scientists first studied and named these types of formations right here!

Neffs Canyon Caves were named a National Natural Landmark in 1977. These caves are found in Salt Lake County, Utah. They are a great example of how caves can form. These caves were created when a stream flowing on the surface went underground. Over time, the water carved out the amazing tunnels and rooms you see today. The Wasatch National Forest manages this natural wonder.
