List of districts in Gujarat facts for kids
Gujarat is a state in western India. It has 33 main areas called districts. These districts were created over time, starting with 17 districts when the state was formed in 1960. Think of districts like big neighborhoods or counties within a state.
The largest district in Gujarat is Kutch, while Dang is the smallest. Ahmedabad district has the most people living in it, but Dang has the fewest. Surat is the most crowded district, meaning lots of people live close together, and Kutch is the least crowded.
Inside these districts, there are smaller areas called Talukas (also known as subdivisions). Gujarat has 250 Talukas in total!
