The State Register of Heritage Places is like a special list of important historical spots in Western Australia. It's looked after by the Heritage Council of Western Australia. - Drakesbrook School: This school was built in 1898. It was once one of only three old, one-room wooden school buildings from before 1900 that were still in their original spot in Western Australia. Sadly, it was destroyed by fire in 2005.
- Hamel Nursery: Built in 1897, this is the oldest surviving plant nursery in Western Australia! It was also known as the Experimental Farm or State Nursery at Drake’s Brook.
- Primary School - Site of: This is the location where the Drakesbrook School (mentioned above) once stood. It's part of the Drakesbrook School Precinct.
- Railway Cottages: These cottages were built in 1896. They are the only original timber and iron cottages for platelayers (people who worked on railway tracks) that are still standing in Western Australia.
