Lovisa Christina Charlotta "Lotten" Edholm (born April 18, 1839 – died July 12, 1930) was an important Swedish woman. She was a talented composer and a true pioneer for the Swedish Red Cross.

Early Life and Family

Lotten Edholm was born into a noble family. Her parents were Georg Fredrik von Heijne-Lillienberg and Juliana Charlotta Silfverstolpe. In 1867, she married Edvard Edholm. He was a doctor who worked for the king.

Before her marriage, Lotten served as a hovfröken. This means she was a maid of honour to the queen dowager Josephine. She held this special role from 1865 to 1867.

Helping the Red Cross

Lotten Edholm played a huge part in the Swedish Red Cross. She was the person who started women getting involved in this important organization in Sweden. The Red Cross helps people during wars and disasters.

From 1865 to 1906, Lotten was the leader of the women's section. This shows how dedicated she was to helping others. Her work helped many people in need.

Other Contributions

Besides her work with the Red Cross, Lotten Edholm had other interests. She started a cooking school in Stockholm. This school helped people learn important life skills.
