Running the 100 Metres

In the 100 metres race, Louis ran very well in his first heat. He finished in second place with a time of 11.7 seconds. Even though he ran fast, he did not move on to the next round of the competition.

The 200 Metres Race

Louis also competed in the 200 metres race. His performance was similar to his 100 metres race. He placed second in his first heat with a time of 22.8 seconds. This meant he did not advance further in this event either.

Success in the 400 Metres

The 400 metres race was where Louis truly shined! He won his preliminary heat with a time of 50.2 seconds, beating the other two runners. In the semifinal, he ran even faster, finishing in 49.5 seconds. However, he placed second in that race, just behind another athlete named William Robbins.

Louis Joseph Sebert passed away on December 2, 1942, just two days before his 56th birthday.
