Louise Shurtleff Brown Verrill (born March 23, 1870 – died February 17, 1948) was a talented American composer and pianist. She created many beautiful pieces of music.

Louise was born in Portland, Maine. Her parents were Lewis F. and Mary Alice Abbott Brown. She loved music from a young age. To become a better musician, she traveled to Europe. She studied piano and composition in cities like Berlin and Dresden. These cities were famous for their music schools.

In 1895, Louise married Harry Mighels Verrill. They had five children together. Even with a busy family life, Louise continued to compose music. Her works were published by a company called Louis H. Ross & Co. This meant her music could be shared with many people.
