Lucas Severino (born January 3, 1979), known simply as Lucas, is a former professional football player from Brazil. He played as a forward, which means he was a player who mainly tried to score goals. Lucas also represented his country, Brazil, at the 2000 Summer Olympics held in Australia.

Early Career in Brazil
Lucas Severino was born in Ribeirão Preto, Brazil. He started his football journey in his home country. His first professional team was Botafogo (SP). After that, he played for Atlético Paranaense.
Playing in France: Rennes
In the year 2000, Lucas moved to France to play for Ligue 1 team Rennes. He spent three seasons with the club. During his time there, he played in 72 league matches and scored six goals.
Success in Japan: FC Tokyo
On January 1, 2004, Lucas Severino joined J1 League club FC Tokyo in Japan. This was a big move for him. He played with FC Tokyo for four seasons and helped them win the J.League Cup in 2004. This was an important trophy for the club.
Moving to Gamba Osaka
