Ludvonga II was a prince of Swaziland, born around 1855. He was the son of Mswati II, who was the king of Swaziland. Ludvonga's mother came from the Khumalo family.
As a prince, Ludvonga was chosen to be the next king. This special role is called a crown prince. It meant he was expected to take over the kingdom after his father.
A Prince's Early End
Sadly, Ludvonga II passed away in 1872 when he was still young, about 17 to 19 years old. Because of his early death, he never became the king of Swaziland.
After Ludvonga's death, his half-brother, Mbandzeni, became the new crown prince. Ludvonga's mother, Sisile Khumalo, later adopted Mbandzeni.
