Luv Ya Bunches is a children's novel written by Lauren Myracle. It was first released on October 1, 2009, by Amulet Books. The story is about the strong friendship that grows between four girls in elementary school. Each girl has a name that sounds like a flower. The book is very popular with young readers, especially girls aged 9 to 13. It is known for its fun and engaging plot.
The book faced some discussion because it included characters with two moms. Scholastic, a book fair company, asked the author to change this and some language. Lauren Myracle agreed to change some words but refused to remove the two moms. Scholastic later decided to offer the book at most of their book fairs. However, they chose not to sell it at book fairs held in elementary schools.

Discover the Story: Plot Summary
The main characters in Luv Ya Bunches are Yasaman, Violet, Katie-Rose, and Camilla. All four girls are starting fifth grade. Each of their names is connected to a flower. For example, Yasaman means "jasmine" in Turkish.
Meet the Characters
Katie-Rose is not very popular in her grade. She has two older brothers, Charlie and Sam. Her only friend is Max, who lives next door. Max is funny and smart. But Katie-Rose really wants a girl friend to hang out with at school. She especially wants to be friends with Camilla Swanson, who everyone calls Milla. Katie-Rose knows Milla from Pioneer Camp and likes her a lot. Milla also likes Katie-Rose. However, Milla's friend Modessa tells her not to be friends with Katie-Rose.
Milla is an only child. She has two moms, Mom Abigail and Mom Joyce. Her best friends are Modessa and Quin. But Modessa and Quin are not always kind to her. Once, Quin even put mud in Milla's milkshake as a mean trick.
Modessa is the most popular girl in school. Katie-Rose secretly calls her "Medusa." Modessa is pretty and smooth, but she loves to tease and bully others. Her best friend, Quin, acts the same way. Milla spends time with them because Milla is also very pretty.
One of the girls Modessa often picks on is Yasaman. Yasaman is a sweet Muslim girl who is very good with computers. Modessa calls her "Spaz-a-man" because Yasaman can be a bit clumsy. Yasaman has a younger sister named Nigar.
Violet is the last of the flower friends. She is new to the school. Violet and her dad just moved from Georgia to California. She feels very sad because her mom is unwell and getting care. Violet briefly joins Modessa's group and becomes friends with Milla.
The Social Network and a Secret
Yasaman creates a website that is like a social media site. She calls it "BlahBlahSomethingSomething.com." Katie-Rose, Milla, and Violet all think the name is silly. Katie-Rose and Yasaman become friends, and Katie-Rose joins the website.
Meanwhile, Milla starts to feel that Modessa shouldn't tell her who she can or cannot talk to. So, Milla begins talking to Katie-Rose without Modessa knowing. Katie-Rose then introduces Milla to Yasaman's website. But Modessa finds out about this. She wants to get back at Milla for going behind her back.
The Missing Charm and a Plan
Earlier in the story, Milla accidentally dropped her good-luck charm. It was a bobble-head turtle named Tally. No one knew it, but Violet picked it up and kept it. Later, Violet learns that Tally is Milla's special charm. She wants to return it to Milla without anyone knowing she had it.
During fifth-grade presentations, Violet hides Tally. She puts it in the cushions where she knows Modessa will sit. Her plan is for Modessa to find Tally and give it back to Milla. This way, no one would suspect Violet. However, Modessa does not give the charm back to Milla. Instead, she puts it in Katie-Rose's backpack. This makes it look like innocent Katie-Rose stole Tally the Turtle. Milla believes Katie-Rose stole it and stops being her friend. Violet knows Katie-Rose is innocent but doesn't say anything at first.
Friendship Blooms and Revenge
Eventually, Violet tells Milla the truth. They decide to stop being friends with Modessa and Quin. Milla and Violet then become friends with Yasaman and Katie-Rose. Together, they plan to get revenge on Modessa.
They decide to make Modessa believe that Quin put mud in her ice cream. This is exactly what Quin had done to Milla earlier. It was easy for them to do this because Modessa always thinks the worst of people. The plan works perfectly. At the end of the book, Modessa and Quin are covered in ice cream. They are angry at each other and get into trouble with their teachers.
United by their anger at Modessa and Quin, Milla, Violet, Katie-Rose, and Yasaman become true friends. They discover that all their names are related to flowers. They decide to call themselves the "FFFs," which stands for "Flower Friends Forever." During all these events, Milla also develops a crush on Max.
The girls decide to rename Yasaman's social network. They call it "LuvYaBunches.com" since they all use it now.
