Lyne Charlebois is a talented Canadian director. She creates films, television shows, and music videos. She is especially known for directing and co-writing the 2008 movie Borderline.

Early Career and Music Videos
Lyne Charlebois started her career as a photographer. One of her first jobs in the film world was taking pictures for the 1987 movie Night Zoo.
After that, she began directing music videos. She worked with popular artists like Daniel Bélanger and Laurence Jalbert. In 1991, she won a Prix Félix for Best Video. This award was for Marjo's song "Je sais, je sais."
Charlebois was also nominated three times for a Juno Award for Best Music Video. These nominations were for:
- Spirit of the West's "Political" in 1992
- Mae Moore's "Bohemia" in 1993
- Gogh Van Go's "Tunnel of Trees" in 1995
She won the Juno Award for Best Music Video in 1995.
Directing for Television and Short Films
Later, Lyne Charlebois moved into television. She directed episodes for several TV series. These included Bliss, Tabou, Nos étés, and Sophie.
She also directed short films. Her short film Quel jour était-ce? was released in 2001. Another short film, Nous sommes tous les jours, came out in 2006.
Directing Feature Films
Lyne Charlebois worked with Marie-Sissi Labrèche to write the screenplay for Borderline. Charlebois then directed the movie.
At the 29th Genie Awards in 2009, Charlebois and Labrèche won an award. They received the Genie Award for Best Adapted Screenplay. Charlebois was also nominated for Best Director at the same awards.
In 2009, she won the Best Director award at the Prix Jutra. This award recognized her work on Borderline.
Her first feature film since Borderline is called Tell Me Why These Things Are So Beautiful. The French title is Dis-moi pourquoi ces choses sont si belles. This movie premiered in 2023 at the Abitibi-Témiscamingue International Film Festival.
