Lynn Gumert (born 1961) is an American musician and composer. She creates and leads music, and also teaches others. She is known for her modern musical pieces.

About Lynn Gumert

Lynn Gumert studied music at Indiana University School of Music in Bloomington. There, she earned advanced degrees in music, learning from several important teachers. She also learned to play the recorder and trained her voice with talented instructors.

After her studies, Lynn Gumert taught at Rutgers University. She taught subjects about women and society. She is also the artistic director of the Zorzal Music Ensemble. This group performs music from Spain and Latin America, covering styles from the 12th century all the way to today's music.

Currently, Lynn Gumert is studying to get a master's degree in music therapy at Montclair State University. Music therapy uses music to help people with their health and well-being. She even received a special award there for her excellent work as a music therapy intern. Lynn Gumert has one daughter named Clara.
