Lynn Gumert is an American musician and composer. She was born in 1961. She is known for creating and performing music, especially older styles and new pieces.
About Lynn Gumert
Lynn Gumert studied music at Indiana University School of Music. She earned advanced degrees there, including a Master of Music and a Doctorate of Music. She also learned from famous composers like Ellen Taafe Zwilich. Lynn specialized in playing the recorder and singing.
After her studies, Lynn taught at Rutgers University. She is also the artistic director of the Zorzal Music Ensemble. This group performs music from Spain and Latin America. They play songs from the 12th century all the way to today's music.
Lynn is currently studying music therapy at Montclair State University. She even won an award there for her excellent work. She has one daughter named Clara.
