Becoming an Artist

Lynn worked hard to become the artist she is today. In 1998, she earned a special art degree called an Honours BFA from the University of Manitoba. This degree helps artists learn many different skills. Later, in 2005, she continued her studies and got another advanced degree, an MFA in Sculpture, from the University of Texas at Austin in the United States. That same year, she also received a special award called the Joan Mitchell Foundation MFA Grant in New York, which helps young artists.
