History of Lynne
Lynne has a bit of history. A place for sending and receiving mail, called a post office, was opened in Lynne in 1884. This post office helped people send letters and packages for many years. It stayed open until 1955, when it was closed down. People believe that Lynne was named after another place, Lynn, Massachusetts.
