Lyric Ross is a talented American actress. She is best known for playing the character Deja Pearson in the popular TV show This Is Us on NBC.

Early Life and Acting Career
Lyric Ross grew up in Homewood, Illinois. Her parents are Brandi Smith and Stephen Ross. She started acting at a very young age, when she was just five years old! She appeared in commercials and had small roles in TV shows like Chicago Fire and Sirens.
In 2017, Lyric got a big role as Deja Pearson in season 2 of This Is Us. She was in eighth grade at James Hart School at the time. On August 27, 2018, NBC announced that Lyric would become a main character for season 3 and beyond. She and the other actors from the show won an important award, the Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series, in 2018.
Lyric has also lent her voice to the stop motion film Wendell & Wild in 2022. She played the character Katherine "Kat" Koniqua Elliot. She is also set to appear in the upcoming TV series Ironheart.
