Manuel Martí (1663–1737) was a very smart Spanish scholar. He was an archaeologist, which means he studied old things and places from the past. He was also a humanist, someone who loved learning about ancient Greek and Roman ideas and culture. Plus, he was a writer and a Hellenist, meaning he was an expert in ancient Greek language and culture.
Manuel Martí was born near Valencia, Spain, in 1663. He wrote a collection of poems called Amalthea Geographica. He also translated many important texts from Latin into other languages. He passed away in Alicante in 1737.
