Zodiak Kids & Family France is a French company that makes animated shows and other TV programs. It started in 1990. The company was founded by Pascal Breton and Olivier Bremond.

Later, Vincent Chalvon-Demersay and David Michel joined the team. They helped create many of the animated shows. Today, Benoît Di Sabatino is the CEO, which means he is in charge of the company.

How the Company Grew

Becoming Marathon Group

In 2005, Marathon Media, as it was known then, decided to join forces with another French TV company called Tele Images. This merger created a much bigger group. The new company was named Marathon Group in 2006.

This made them one of the largest TV production and distribution companies in France. They even included the company that makes the famous game show Fort Boyard.

Joining De Agostini

In 2007, a large Italian company called De Agostini bought Marathon Group. This was a big step for De Agostini. It helped them become a major player in making TV content across Europe.

Expanding with KM Production

Marathon Group continued to grow. In 2008, they bought a big part of KM Production. This company made entertainment shows and documentaries. This move helped Marathon Group create even more types of TV programs.

Becoming Part of Zodiak Entertainment

Later in 2008, Marathon Group and its owner, De Agostini, made another big deal. They bought a Swedish company called Zodiak Television AB. All these companies then combined into one large global company called Zodiak Entertainment.

This made Zodiak a huge entertainment company worldwide. Marathon Media and Tele Images became part of this new, larger group.

Changes in Leadership

In 2014, David Michel, one of the co-founders and general managers of Marathon Media, decided to leave the company.
