Marcelo Miguel Pelissari (born 20 August 1975) is a former Brazilian footballer. He played as a defender, which means his main job was to stop the other team from scoring goals. Marcelo Miguel played for several clubs in Brazil, Japan, and Portugal. He is also well-known for his time with the Brazil under-20 national team.

Marcelo Miguel started his football journey in Brazil. He played for different clubs throughout his career.
Club Teams
Marcelo Miguel played in Brazil's top football league, called Série A, for a team named Portuguesa. He also played in Portugal for União da Madeira in their second-tier league, the Segunda Liga. In Japan, he played for Shimizu S-Pulse in the J1 League, which is Japan's highest football division. He also played for many other clubs in Brazil at lower levels of the league system.
International Success
Marcelo Miguel was a key player for the Brazil under-20 team. He helped them win the 1995 South American U-20 Championship in 1995. He was even chosen as one of the best players in that tournament!
Later in 1995, he was the captain of the Brazil U20 team that reached the final of the 1995 FIFA World Youth Championship. This is a very important international competition for young players. Marcelo Miguel played in the first five matches of the tournament. However, he could not play in the final game because he was suspended. Even without him, the team finished as runners-up, which is a great achievement.
