Professional Basketball Career
After college, Marcus Patterson began his professional basketball career.
Playing for Portimonense S.C.
In September 2019, Marcus joined Portimonense S.C. in Portugal. He received two special awards from Eurobasket.com. He was named to the 'All Portuguese 1st Division All-Import Team' and the 'All Portuguese 1st Division 2nd Team'. During this time, he averaged 22 points, 9 rebounds, and 2 steals per game.
Time with C.A. Queluz
In October 2020, Marcus signed with C.A. Queluz, another Portuguese basketball team. He played four games, averaging 8.2 points, 3 rebounds, and 1.7 assists. The season was then put on hold due to COVID-19.
Back to Portimonense S.C.
Marcus returned to Portimonense in December 2021. He was the team's second-highest scorer. He averaged 14.3 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 1.5 assists per game. He was also very accurate with his shots, making 64.1% of his shots from inside the three-point line.
Joining Teuta
On December 6, 2022, Marcus Patterson started playing for Teuta in the Albanian Basketball Superleague. He helped Teuta win the Albanian Basketball Cup. In that championship game, he was the top scorer with 29 points.

Marcus Patterson is Jamaican American, as both of his parents were born in Jamaica. He plays for the Jamaica men's national 3x3 team.
3x3 Basketball
In 2023, Marcus played for Team Jamaica in the 3x3 International Cup. This tournament was held in Sacramento, starting on October 1.
