Margaret's Life in England

Margaret's life is recorded in old history books. We first learn about her around the years 1311 or 1312. At that time, she was known as "lady Margaret de Abrenythy." She was part of the court of Isabella of France, who was the Queen of England. This means Margaret lived in England for some years.

Margaret stayed in England until at least 1324. In that year, King Edward II of England gave her special permission. This permission allowed her to travel back to Scotland. She wanted to talk with her family and friends there. Her goal was to get back lands and property that belonged to her family in Scotland.
