Margarita Abella Caprile (born August 5, 1901 – died October 28, 1960) was an important writer from Argentina. She was born in Buenos Aires, a big city in Argentina. Margarita came from a well-known family; she was the great-granddaughter of General Bartolomé Mitre, who was a famous Argentine leader. She went to school at the Colegio del Sagrado Corazon in Buenos Aires.

Margarita Abella Caprile was known mostly as a poet. But she also worked as a journalist and wrote many other kinds of books. These included travel books, novels (long stories), and short stories. In 1955, she became the director of the literature section for a major newspaper called La Nación. She worked there until she passed away. She was a contemporary of other famous women writers like Alfonsina Storni, Gabriela Mistral, Delmira Agustini, and Juana de Ibarbourou.
