Margherita Maccapani Missoni Amos (born February 22, 1983) is an Italian fashion designer and model. She is also part of the family that owns the famous Missoni fashion house. Her grandparents, Ottavio Missoni and Rosita Missoni Jelmini, started the company. Margherita lives in Montonate, Italy, which is near the Missoni main office. Here, she continues her work in fashion design.

About Margherita Missoni
Margherita Maccapani Missoni was born in Italy. She grew up in the Italian countryside. On weekends, she would spend time in Milan. She studied philosophy at Columbia University in New York.
Her Studies and Interests
Margherita studied philosophy at two universities. First, she attended Università Statale di Milano. Later, she studied at Columbia University in New York. After her university studies, she also went to acting schools. These included the Stella Adler acting school and the Lee Strasberg Theater Institute. When she moved to New York, it was hard for her to transfer her school credits. Because of this, Margherita decided to focus on her first love, which was theatre.
Her Fashion Journey
Before becoming a model for Missoni, Margherita was a company ambassador. This meant she helped promote the brand at fashion events. She felt that becoming a model for Missoni was a "natural evolution" for her.
When she was 20 years old, Harper's & Queen magazine named her. They said she was one of the world's 100 most beautiful women.
Designing for Missoni
Since 2009, Margherita has been more involved with the Missoni brand. She joined the design team. She followed in the footsteps of her mother, Angela. Angela was the Creative Director of the fashion house.
In 2014, Margherita received the America Award. This award is from the Italy-USA Foundation. It recognized her efforts in helping relationships between Italy and the USA.
In 2015, she started her own line of children's clothes. After that, she worked with other brands on special projects. In October 2018, she became the creative director for the M Missoni brand.
Her Family Life
Margherita says she has a very close relationship with her family. She feels especially connected to her sister and her mother.
On June 23, 2012, she married Eugenio Amos. He is a race car driver born in 1985. Their wedding took place in Brunello, Italy. Their first son, Otto Hermann Amos, was born on September 6, 2013. Their second son, Augusto, was born on May 15, 2014. Margherita and Eugenio separated in 2022.
