Maria Antònia Oliver Cabrer (born December 4, 1946 – died February 10, 2022) was a famous Spanish writer. She wrote many books and stories. Her work was so good that it was translated into many languages. These included German, English, French, and Russian. In 2016, she received a very special award called the Premi d'Honor de les Lletres Catalanes. This award celebrates important Catalan writers.

Maria Antònia Oliver was born in Manacor, a town in the Balearic Islands of Spain. From 1969, she lived in Barcelona. She became well-known for writing novels and short stories. She also worked as a translator, changing books from one language to another. She translated between Castilian and Catalan.
In the 1980s, Maria Antònia Oliver joined a group of other Catalan writers. This group was called Ofèlia Dracs. Their goal was to make Catalan literature more popular. They also wanted to create more new books in the Catalan language.
Her first book was published in 1970. While most of her writing was for adults, she also wrote some stories for children and young people. Besides novels and short stories, she wrote plays, screenplays for movies, and stories for radio and TV. She also wrote for newspapers like Diario de Mallorca. Maria Antònia Oliver wrote in Catalan. She was married to another writer named Jaume Fuster. From 2001 to 2004, she was the dean of the Institució de les Lletres Catalanes. This is an important organization for Catalan literature. Maria Antònia Oliver passed away on February 10, 2022, when she was 75 years old.
