Maria Frances Parke was a talented English musician. She was born on August 26, 1772, and passed away on July 31, 1822. She was known as a wonderful singer (a soprano), a skilled pianist, and a composer who wrote music for keyboard instruments.

Early Life and Musical Beginnings

Maria was born in London, England. Music ran in her family! Her father, John Parke, played the oboe, which is a woodwind instrument. Her uncle, William Thomas Parke, was also an oboist and a composer.

Maria started performing at a very young age. When she was just nine years old, she made her first public appearance as both a pianist and a singer. By the time she was ten, she performed a duet by the famous composer Clementi. She played this duet with another musician named Maria Hester Park. Sometimes, people get these two Marias mixed up because they were both talented musicians!

Later Life and Compositions

In 1815, Maria Frances Parke married John Beardmore. She continued to live in London until she passed away in 1822.
